What ideas should you submit?
We want to see innovative uses for the optimised hip and valley clip 512 on pitched roofs – beyond its traditional applications for hips or valleys.
Why are we looking for new applications?
Your ideas could help us unlock the full potential of the clip, making the 512 a universal problem-solver for pitched roofs, benefitting all roofing trades.
How will entries be judged?
Your submission will be evaluated based on creativity, feasibility, usefulness, and entertainment value.
Who is on the jury?
With two external representatives from the roofing industry: In addition to Ms. Brigitte Latsch, master roofer and editor of DDH, we are supported by Josef Stefan Mester, Technical Director at the Training Center of the Westphalian Roofing Trade Association (Bildungszentrum des westfälischen Dachdeckerhandwerks e.V.) in Eslohe, Germany. Furthermore, the FOS® team includes Waseem Hanna (Head of Application Engineering), David Goseberg (Sales), and Afra Banach (Marketing).
Who can participate?
The contest is open to all professionals and apprentices in the roofing and carpentry trades.
How to participate:
- Register by 28 February 2025 on our landing page to receive 10 free 512-100 samples.
- Submit your idea by 31 March 2025. Simply send a few photos or a short video with brief notes via WhatsApp to +49 2372 5589924.
- Judging will take place in early April.
- Winners will be notified in mid-April.
- Results: The best ideas and winners will be announced mid-April.
Prizes:
- 1st Prize: JBL Xtreme 4 Bluetooth speaker + FOS® T-shirt (in your size).
- 2nd Prize (2 winners): €75 fuel voucher + FOS® T-shirt (in your size).
- 3rd Prize (5 winners): FOS® Safety Set (3M safety glasses, sunscreen, RFID cardholder, gloves, smartphone case) + FOS® T-shirt (in your size).
