Using Head-foot clips for wind uplift security on pitched roofs is particularly recommended, when the roof tiles have no or just a small head-lock.
Head-foot clips hold two roof tiles simultaneously, where the top of the lower tile and the bottom of the overlapping tile being secured. Head-foot clips are either fastened by hammering them into the batten, such as the
403®b and the magazined
403®d-2, or clamped behind the batten, such as the magazined
403®2.
Head-foot clips do not only prevent complete tiles from slipping, but are very helpful to provide additional support for cut pieces at hip. They can be used in a variety of ways as installation aid at connections and terminations.
FOS® has developed the
428b for hooking in especially for hollow tiles.
