In order to simplify the handling of the clips for the installers, FOS® manufactures several storm clips collated on plastic strips. Each strip holds 25 pieces and is compatible with the
FOS ClipHOLSTER®. The collation of clips on the strip makes the removal from the packaging easier and also reduces the risk of injury.
The clipholster is attached to the belt and holds the plastic strips with the clips. On roofs and facades, the use of the holder increases the speed at which storm clips can be installed. The clips are kept within easy reach. Installers have their hands free and can therefore cover the roof quicker. The reduction of installation time by up to 25% is only achieved, when the collated strips are inserted into the FOS ClipHOLSTER®.
Depending on the type of clip, the clipholster is used with or without a red protective cap. For the nail-in hooks such as the sidelock clips
409®-2 and
409b®-2 or the slate hooks
404®-2 and
461®-2, it is recommended to use the protective cap to avoid injuries caused by the nail tips. For the following storm clips the protective cap should be used: For the head-tail clips
403®-2 and
403®d-2; the head-sidelock clips
416®-2,
453-2 and
492®-2; the sidelock clips
456®-2 and
499-2 and the slate hook
460®-2. The clipholster is made of high-quality and durable polyoxymethylene and polyamide and a sturdy stainless steel screw.
